For Socrates or other exchange student programs, the simplest and most efficient way of applying to ENSEIRB-MATMECA is by e-mail, but paper or fax applications are also acceptable (although not recommended).
- As a first step, please have your international office or Socrates departmental coordinator send us an initial email announcing your application;
- As a second step, fill and e-mail your application forms to our international office Secretary with cc to our international office Director. It is good to supply a curriculum vitae (résumé), and a letter of motivation (which may just be the contents of your e-mail), especially for lab project application; for a program of studies, you will need to check our course catalogue in order to fill your learning agreement by selecting modules: note that our modules may be referenced using appropriate web addresses, which may be convenient for subsequent e-mail discussions with your home tutor and our coordinators at ENSEIRB-MATMECA ;
- As a third step, you (the student) will receive our acknowledgement of your application, with cc to your international office, and our own office. You will be told to directly communicate with the relevant ENSEIRB-MATMECA departmental coordinator, in order to check your learning agreement, or define your lab project (and find a lab project supervisor).
Should you need any help for
housing, please write to our international office Secretary as early as possible.
For airport or train pickup by ENSEIRB-MATMECA students, or other kind of help, please write to Bureau des Elèves (
BDE) : you may want to check
their page and other student associations.

Note that you may find valuable practical information regarding what you need to take with you (money, passport, photos, papers for registration and scolarity services) and cost of living on ENSEIRB-MATMECA page. The international office itself will not require any paper from you.
