The starting point of the application is always through the Share your application framework.
We adapt the application process to each case.
Some students apply through well established agreements between ENSEIRB-MATMECA and their home institution, for a long period of time, e.g., one year, two years, or even three years.
Other students apply for shorter periods, for example one semester for attending classes, or 3 to 5 months for a lab internship. This is often the case of Erasmus students.
However, there are some rules to have in mind:
- application deadlines have to be strictly respected: whether you come for a lab internship or attending classes, close interaction between your home institution supervisor, yourself, and your ENSEIRB-MATMECA supervisor (through your shared application folder), is essential to reach a successful conclusion:
- we shall not grant formal acceptance until a formal agreement regarding your program of studies (learning agreement or internship project proposal) has been reached between all involved parties,
- we shall not start working on your housing problem, until formal acceptance has been granted;
- all our classes are in French: you need at least the A2 level for attending classes; B1 is required for Erasmus students;
- if you apply for the diploma of engineer (usually at least 2 years), you are expected to have a good level of English, so that you can get a level equivalent to B2-C1 upon completion of your studies; you are expected to reach the B2 level in French, upon completion of your studies;
- if you wish to attend classes, there are three or four things you should first determine, on the basis of your level and background, by looking at our course programme and academic calendar:
- the time period of your stay, one of:
- fall semester (approximately 1 september 200N to 10 January 200N+1); check our academic calendar for precise information, as the starting date depends on the year level,
- spring semester (approximately 10 January 200N+1 to 30 June 200N+1); check our academic calendar for precise information, as the ending date depends on the year level,
- a whole academic year (approximately from 1 September 200N to 30 June 200N+1);
- the year level, one of:
- first year (semesters S5 and S6),
- second year (semesters S7 and S8),
- third year (semester S9);
- the specialty, one of
- Computer science,
- Electronics,
- Mathematics & Mechanics,
- Telecommunications;
- your order of preference for options within the specialty, for third year level (semester S9): check our course programme;
- You cannot mix courses from different specialties or options, nor from different year levels;
- You may eventually remove some courses from a semester programme, provided both your home institution tutor and ENSEIRB-MATMECA international department coordinator agree that there is no pre-requisite problem.
Don't worry: you will be guided on how to complete appropriate documents provided by us throughout the application sharing process.
- Please very regularly check your shared application folder, and the Whiteboard in particular! Use the Whiteboard for communication; do not use e-mail.
